November 16, 200322 yr I just confirmed this most recent build of PS is causing a conflict with FS when you use PS hotkeys. This never occured with prior versions of PS and FS2004 for me. Michael Campbell was nice enough to send me a former version and all is well again. The symptom is: when you use any hotkey (with any global modifier) in Powerstrip there is a serious hang of Powerstrip, and also it can affect the response of FS to view changes etc. Of course this may be peculiar to my machine and config, but it is definitely a problem on this machine.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. November 16, 200322 yr Author Hi,Just to clarify....Powerstrip version 3.40 Build 388 works just fine - that's the version Noel is using now.If you are using the Hotkey facility you have to change the global modifier from Ctrl+Alt to Ctrl+Shift. As we all know the key tries to bring up the menu in FS - hence the problem. I guess the developer of PS is not a MSFS fan. :( Anyway, options are provided to allow changes for compatibility. Not really a big issue once you realize what's going on.Mike
November 17, 200322 yr Mike, changing the global modifier did not resolve the situation. The other factor is, I have been using the key since FS9 came out, and FS2002 before, with Powerstrip former versions--with no problem whatsover. So your argument that this is the source of the problem, is total hokum.Cheers,Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. November 17, 200322 yr Author Hmm.... If you have FS running and you want to leave it for an extended period, pressing Ctrl+Alt+M will cause you problems. Changing the global modifier to Ctrl+Shift will allow successful powering down of your monitor...or at least it does on my Hyundai Imagequest Q17 Digital (as it did on my Sony CRT).This is the only hotkey combo I regularly use with Powerstrip so can't speak for any other hotkey bindings (perhaps I should have declared that fact at the outset - sorry). Unfortunately, FS has a considerable number of key assignments that use the Ctrl+Shift combo and only two that use the key (ALT for displaying the menus in full screen mode and ALT+Enter for switching to full screen mode).Ctrl+Shift+M is not used by the sim and so can be used by Powerstrip. 'Primary Gamma Ramp Reset' using Ctrl+Shift+F1, however, will produce a conflict. Changing F1 to an available key would rectify this problem - see below.Other keys used by FS with Ctrl+Shift:Engine Commands:F1, F2, F3, F4General a/c Commands:V, CLight Commands:Num Pad 2,4,6,8,5Autopilot Commands:Z, H, R, GView Commands:L, Tab, Backspace, Enter, WSlew Commands:Backspace, EnterMultiplayer Commands:D, T, F, O, and Right BracketHope this helps those who may wish to pick alternative assignments to avoid conflicts.Mike
