Take a look at the screen shot. I've tried just about everything that I can think of to land and park at KSBA. The parking spot that I was directed to is for large GA and I'm in my tiny 182Q. I've tried adjusting the afcad but it's still no use. The version of KSBA that I'm using is California Central Coast's version and other then the adjustments to the afcad, it's pretty much a straight install.So any advice here would be helpful because I love to fly in this area.Mark

Good question...If you request to park then you can't fly out again without actually parking at the assigned spot. If you can't find the parking spot then FS9 will not display an option to takeoff until you do.There are a number of work arounds...I can simply land at the airport without clearance, I can land at the airport with clearance and then request a taxi for takeoff and park until I'm ready to taxi, I can request to park...not find the parking spot and then takeoff without clearance anyway.They're all a work around but I'd kind of like to find out why this is happening and a solution. That way, I can simply park and get the maximum FS9 fulfillment...you know, scratch that realism itch! It is interesting though, it doesn't happen at any other airport. Go figure...Mark

Hi Mark -I had forgotton about the following little "trick" to get ATC to give you taxi out instructions after ignoring their parking instructions:This is the procedure to reset ATC -a. Go to the World option on the Menu Bar at the top of your screen - then select Map.b. Then just change your heading by one degree.c. Click OK.You will now get the taxi out options from Ground Control.Special thanks to Tom Gibson who recently posted this info on another forum - it set off some bells in my head. Getting forgettful in my "old age" it seems.:( Hope that trick is useful.
