November 20, 200322 yr I downloaded and installed this free package from FS Genesis and am greatly impressed. As I said to my wife "This is great. Now we don't have to go on holiday. We can fly low and slow and see all the sights."On a more serious note. After I first installed it I was on a flight returning to London Heathrow from Gibralter. As I approached the South Coast roughly at the latitude of the Channel Isles but more westerly I came across a very obvious problem. I flew for a while to see if it disappeared but it grew more evident. I then took pains to make a detailed account of location, altitude, heading etc. with the intention of reporting this to the developer.Problem is, when I went to their site there was no obvious way to make this report without becoming a registered member which I don't wish to do.Anyone have any suggestions how I may contact FS Genesis with this information? Thanks
November 20, 200322 yr Justin may read this and contact you directly, or, try posting at the guestbook at fsgenesis.net - that doesn't require the (free) registration at the site. [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
November 20, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Hello,Uh, I guess my sincere question is why not register for the site? It's free, and takes just a moment or two. I don't sell my lists to spammers and there is no security risks. Just make yourself a username and password. Pretty harmless and simple.Site registration simply allows me to track reported bugs and allows you, the reporter, to track their resolution. There is nothing dangerous, risky, and no ulterior motives to exploit your personal info, which is optional anyway.Or, there is always [email protected],Are you talking about a couple of spikes in the ocean? If so, I uploaded a corrected file the day after original release that fixed that.-------Justinhttp://www.fsgenesis.netHigh Quality Scenery for FS200x ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
November 21, 200322 yr Hi JustinThanks for your response here. I didn't notice the guest option or the [email protected] e-mail though I did spend some time looking, sorry about that. Yes, it was the spikes I was referring to. No big deal but I thought you'd be interested. I recall flying up and down Pennsylvania in blocks for hours on end debugging and reporting on your early work, non-commercial in those days. I guess it's a habit so when I spotted the problem I did my ingrained method of specifying what, when, and where and merely wanted to report it as a thank you for this great freeware sample.Referring to your comment "Uh, I guess my sincere question is why not register for the site? It's free, and takes just a moment or two. I don't sell my lists to spammers and there is no security risks. Just make yourself a username and password. Pretty harmless and sim" There is no mysterious or hidden meaning behind my comment that I didn't want to register it's merely my way. I register at very, very few sites out of personal preference, that's all.Regards
