PMDG 737-800 CTD when load flight

So this airplane works in FSX? Do you have to have fs9 installed to install it first then bring over the files manually? Or can I install to a fake fs9 directory? I'm interested in passing the time until the iFly comes out next month and then the pmdg masterpiece after.

When I did it I installed it to a fake FS9 folder and copied the contents over from there and followed those insrtuctions to a tee. I also just did the 600/700.I will be honest with you, your not missing anything putting this a/c in to FSX. After I did the install I did a quick flight from Miami to Orlando and while it worked, I was pretty underwhelmed with the look of the VC since thats my prefered venue to fly in, plus some of the stuff in the VC wouldn't work so I had to open the 2D panels to operate some functions. After that flight I uninstalled it and never looked back. While it was a great bird for FS9 at the time, its not that great in FSX.I'd wait for the real deal if I were you, but if you must, just follow those directions and do it at your own risk since PMDG wont support it.

If things aren't working, I'll just hold out. Certainly can't wait for the PMDG release, but the iFly sure looks like it will be able to hold me over. Last I heard was the 8th of next month as a release date.
