My guess is that you uninstalled an add-on and that it took an effects filewith it. I've had this happen with the contrails that suddenly turned black.Maybe someone here would know what specific effect is associated with wake/spray.In my effects/texture folder, I have fx_wake_1, wake_2 and wake_3 bmp files.Also check for fx_1, _2, _3, _5.

ok bert my friend got it sorted! somehow or other i had gotten my texture file inside effects deleted, i restored the originals u were talking about aboveand hey presto, nice white water spray again, thank goodness!
