How similar is it to the other post you referenced. Do you also have the Wilco 737?

thanks for your reply, It is similar in the sense that when I go and select the plane from the list, FSX crashes and needs to restart. This applys whether selecting the plane from the splash screen or once a flight has been loaded. I don´t get any error messages, just Flight Simulator restarts itself. No i don't have the Wilco 737thanks

This to me sounds like a corruption in the install. Here are some things to try. First, open the config tool for the MD-11. Put in some different payloads and save the config. This may overwrite something causing the plane not to load. Also you can always try to un-install and re-install the AC. Make sure that you install all of the updates as well. Also when you reinstall, make sure and take note of any failures or error messages during the activation process.

Hi RichardHad this exact problem with the MD-11 on Vista 64.This solved the problem for me and I have not seen it again for more than 1 year.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/273341-heres-the-apparent-fix-to-fsx-crashing-win-7-x64/Try it. If it does not work, no harm is done.Good luck!Soeren Nielsen
