Hi AllI'm having a really strange problem...I've been going through all of my aircraft.cfg files and renaming the ui_manufacturer and type so that they appear as Airbus/Boeing/Embraer etc...and all has been going fine, until I touch my E190 file...I've renamed the E170 and E190 files to read "Embraer" instead of "FeelThere/Wilco Embraer" or whatever it was...and now only the E170 shows in the sim, no trace of the E190 under any manufacturer.Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and then doing the same again, step by step...E170 first, then checked it in the sim and all is well, then I changed the .cfg file from the E190 (in exactly the same way) but then the E190 doesn't show up at all in the sim. I even tried putting it back to the original ui_manufacturer name and still nothing.Does anyone know what might be causing this?Worst case I can just reinstall and leave the E190 file alone, but seems very strange as all of my other aircraft have been renamed with no bother.ThanksMartin

I'm going to guess that you inadvertently changed something else while you were changing UI_MANUFACTURER. If you accidentally deleted some other character in the file, for example, in the MODEL or SIM line, then the aircraft would also not show up because it would be looking for a model or .air file with the wrong name. Or, you may have accidentally done a drag-and-drop and moved one of the key files to a different folder.If you have edited the .air file itself, using Air Ed or some other program, and you changed the Aircraft Type parameter to 2, that would mark it as an AI-only aircraft and it will not appear in the GUI for aircraft selection.I'm guessing that if you do a re-install of that aircraft, verify that it's there, and then change the UI_MANUFACTURER as before, it will work.

Literally all I did was a find and replace swapping ui_manufacturer=Wilco/feelThere Embraer for ui_manufacturer=Embraer (exactly the same as I did on the E170 without any issues)I'll try reinstalling and manually changing each line instead of the find and replace method.

OK, have just uninstalled and reinstalled and as soon as I made ANY change to the E190 aircraft.cfg file, the whole thing disappeared from the sim.The E170 I changed everything on....with the E190 I only changed the ui_manufacturer on one line out of about 30 [fltsim.xx] entries and the whole aircraft and all 30 or so entries disappear from the sim entirely.How bizarre. :(

Using Vista or System 7? I've had reports of similar problems...

Yes, Win 7. Strange it would only be the E190 though when the E170 from the same package is fine.CheersMartin
