April 3, 201115 yr Hello allI am fusing MD-11 for flight from KLAX to KSLC.I am using OSHNN TREE DEPARTURE (RNAV) using RWY 25R from KLAX, regarding altitude restirctions I can read that not to exceed 3,000ft@DOCKR and 5,000ft@WEILR, so is it OK to start climbing after WEILR to cruise altitude ? because the closest restriction is between OSHNN and SLI (32M away) not to fly below 2,300ft is that correct ?Second, I went over and over through chart trying to figure out any speed restrictions couldn't find any ? should I use the 250K below 10,000ft as a rule ?Your help is highly appreciatedBest regardsAlaa Alaa A. April 3, 201115 yr Your questions are answered on the chart. It says the altitude at the DAGGET transition is 12000, which should be your waypoint after SEBBY, and the speed restriction is the typical 250 kts below 10,000, unless you request a higher speed from ATC and get approval. Are you flying without ATC? Shane Gavin

Prior to receiving this clearance, you are expected to keep within the altitude specifications depicted on the SID (which should be programmed into the FMS). So I would be at 3000' at DOCKR, and 5000' at WEILR. After that, I would continue at 5000', following the depicted route, until ATC gives me further instructions to climb to a new intermediate altitude, (which will be long before you reach DAG). Yes, you should adhere to the 250 KIAS speed restriction below 10,000'.
April 3, 201115 yr Commercial Member I believe you can continue your climb after WIELR to whatever initial altitude you were assigned if flying with ATC or up to cruise altitude if just flying on your own. Those restrictions just after takeoff are there to prevent you from crossing into the descent/approach paths for other aircraft that are above you. After you reach that point though, there are no further restrictions I see on the chart. The 12000 that Shane refereed to is actually the MEA between SEBBY and DAG, not a restriction. Are you flying without ATC?I thought it meant on the chart do not fly less than 12,000ft as a minimum altitude at DAGGET ? is that correct ?ATC will clear you to your filed altitude within 5 minutes of departure.
