PSS Has Dissappointed Me

Featured Replies

In FS2002 The A320UAL was my default aircraft from almost day one after the 320Pro package became available and was the biggest joy to fly IMO...Ill bet I put on over 1000 hours between the time it was released in March of 2002 and July 2003 when MS released FS9 and it became unflyable.I like many of you waited patiently resisting asking redundant question to Robert,Graham, and Johan as to when the patch fix for FS9 would become available, all I remeber is that they were working hard on the fix for the 340/320/and Dash 8 that has now been nearly 4 months now.As in 2002 I was hoping that with today patch that the 320 would once again become my default aircraft and I could start my second 1000 hours of flight but today I was bitterly dissapointed.I like many others have the mouse flickers problem slow acceleration on takeoff, the inability to rotate when properly trimmed, clickspots that dont work or are slow to respond, tire textures that show up white, and what happend to the load editor program.I purchased the 330/340 and have only logged 9 hours in FS9...I have to side with many others that PSS has relinquished it position as a 1st rate third party developer into as one poster here said a third rate company. The 330/340 on my system has poor cockpit views as there are gaps in the models fuselage wide enough to drive a Semi Truck through and the AC stalls on landing.I think maybe it is time to hold developers who get a portion of our hard earned money accountable. If it is a money issue that has led to to the slop that we recieved today I would have been happy to pay $10.00 for a 320/Dash8 fix for FS2004. As long as they(PSS) are going to be unresponsive to our support needs I think that Avsim for a period of time should allow us a place to at least post our issues without censorship so perhaps we could help each other through this. It appears on their forum that at least 30 new post about the troubles with this patch have gone un answered....I would have thought that one of the top PSS members would have stayed up to answer those concerns in a speedly fashion.I have gone nearly 2 years withholding negitive comments about PSS but this issue is the straw that broke the Camels back.I know PSS can do better than this.....Many regards

I've never been disappointed by PSS.Designers & creative people will always reserve the rightto move on to something new.Peter Sydney Australia

>I've never been disappointed by PSS.>>Designers & creative people will always reserve the right>to move on to something new.>Peter Sydney AustraliaThen be honest about it.....If they had no intentions of doing a patch right they should have said so.......they have led us to believe that they were working hard to get it out...infact they said they were waiting on MS to get the SDK released so they could do it right......I dont remember MS releasing any gauge SDKs...Peter do you have the 320??????Are you running it in FS9?????Are you having great flights with the patch?????Perhaps you should share your secret!!!!Did they do this patch right........A big NO!!!!!!

Hi Flynman,Yes, there is a lot to say about PSS terrible support and their lack of basic communication with their customers.BUT their products are great. And the patch works perfectly for me with the A320 and the Dash.Remove all the files and folders you manually installed from FS2002. If you have FS2002 installed, just rename it to FS2002BACK or whatever.Download and install the Bus from their web site (uncheck the FSUIPC option)and apply the patch.I have none of the issues I had when trying to patch the imported files from FS2002 and believe me, the A320 is fantastic in FS2004.David
