April 4, 201115 yr HiI've downloaded many packs from the FS KBT site, and their products always come in installer form. When I run the installer, it always quits because it cannot find FS9. It seems to be unzipping in the C: directory, while I have mine in a separate HDD (H:). Is there any way I can somehow edit the installer to install in the H: directory?

Is there any way I can somehow edit the installer to install in the H: directory?I'm not familiar with those packages but normally when any auto-installer reports that it cannot "find" your FS9 installation it means that it is looking in the Registry to find the correct location and the Registry data is incorrect.I would try using the free Registry Repair utility from the good folks at Flight1.http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryIt will ask you to browse to the correct location of your FS9.exe file and then write that path information correctly into the Registry.Hopefully that will allow your auto-installer to "find" your installation and proceed.Keep us posted please.
April 7, 201115 yr Author Interesting. I ran it and it said "P-3C GMAX is not available with the OS you are using" or something like that. Any ideas? April 7, 201115 yr Interesting. I ran it and it said "P-3C GMAX is not available with the OS you are using" or something like that. Any ideas?Did you actually browse to the exact location of your FS9.exe file and highlight it before hitting OK?Try it again and if you should get an error message, write it down or better yet take a screenshot of it and post it.The utility has worked perfectly for many hundreds of users - so it certainly should work for you also.
April 7, 201115 yr Author For some reason it doesn't let me change the directory. It reads "Preparing..." for maybe a minute or two and then I get this: P-3C GMAX is not available under the OS you are using. Please use different version that is avaiable on your system or contact the distributor about operating environments. The installation will now terminateOnce again, the whole installation window is grey (i.e. the buttons are unclickable). It unzips for maybe 2 minutes and then I get the above error message. It is apparent we are not on the same page - I thought you were referring to an error message with the Registry Repair utility but I guess you are referring to an error message when you try to install one of the KBT packages. :( Please provide a link to a file which you downloaded that is giving problems so I can try it myself and see if I can duplicate the issue.

April 10, 201115 yr Author Vista. It worked when my computer had XP. Is there any way to mod the installers to be compatible with Vista?

Is there any way to mod the installers to be compatible with Vista?Still hoping you will provide a link to one of the packages which are problematic for you. It's hard to offer meaningful advice without being able to try to duplicate the issue using the same "package".
