April 6, 201115 yr I have had the C185 installed for a few days and I have run into something strange. With everything set for start up (as far as I know) the engine will crank, however it will never catch. I can go to another AC and start it and then change back to the C185 running and the engine will continue to run. I can then shutdown and the engine will re-start normally. Even stranger, I can then exit FSX and restart and go to the C185F and it will start as it should. Yes the gas is turned on and the master switch is turned on and the mixture is rich. Though not in the C185, I have a bunch of real time in Cessna AC but it has been a while. Even if it may embarrass me, please point out what I am doing wrong or not doing.
April 6, 201115 yr Are you starting from a saved flight? Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200
April 6, 201115 yr Author Well Kurt, you put me on the right track. What happened is that I recently removed some A/C from the SimObjects aircraft because I never fly them and I was trying to free up some drive space. One of them was the Aircreation 582SL Ultralight (along with some heavies). The 582SL is the default as you know. Then I saved the Cessna C185F as the default. I have done this before and had no problems however, evidently removing the 582SL made a difference. When I put it back in the hanger everything cleared up. I was even able to put the C185F back as the default with everything working. Thanks for the help.
