OC with Auto mode from Asus BIOS ?

Featured Replies

Hello,Being new to Overclocking, I don't want to take any risk. Therefore, could you please confirm if the 3 Auto mode offered in the ASUS mode (Basic and 2 Crazy modes as they call it) are already good enough (considering I am not looking for perfection but just a nice enhancement) ?Thank youGreg

too much, too soon....

No, I would not recommend fiddling with these instruments!Tried it a couple of times, got several temp warnings, as Asus apparently dont give a hoot about too much voltage and temps around 80/90 to 100 degrees Celcius.Nail%20Biting.gifEven the Basic mode you have to be careful what level of voltage it sets...Look around this forum, theres plenty of good advice, and SB is a breeze to overclock, very easy...

It's still relatively easy, and there are tons of guides online you can learn a lot from. If you're careful there's not much risk in the process.Lots of trial and errors (and rebooting) but a fun hobby in itself.

Greg, have a look at this:

- or find another one which suits your mobo/setup...
