ASN hard horizon and visibility problem
Another example of why I really like this forum. This was a problem I was having. Now it's solved. Thanks

6700K Affinity Mask
With AM of 248, where do you put addons? I actually only use ASN. Also, Boom, what's your voltage for 4.7? Cheers

6700K Affinity Mask
Definitely following this topic as I have the same CPU. Experimented with various configurations and I haven't really found one that sticks out a whole lot. At the moment I have HT off, but only because it seemed that core 1 was way hotter when testing with realbench.

Goflight yoke and throttle
Thanks guys! That definitely looks great. Unfortunately, at above $2000.00 Canadian it's a little step.

Goflight yoke and throttle
Thanks. I'm also considering the CH and Saitek yokes as they're a lot cheaper. Any thoughts on those as well would be great. Cheers

Goflight yoke and throttle
Hello all, Are any of you using the Goflight Yoke/Throttle combo with your PMDG planes in P3D? I know it's an expensive package, but I'm wondering if it would be a worthy purchase. I only fly NGX, 777 and future 747. Thanks

My experience with 364.72 the latest nvidia driver.
flytrumpet767 replied to Claude Troncy's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI just tried this with 361.43 and I have to say it's the best setting for me so far. Of course FPS are fluctuating depending on situation, but it remains smooth. Around 40 fps at FT CYYZ in the NGX with traffic and ASN cloudy weather isn't too bad. Also at 60hz on a 1440 Asus 27". Finally starting to feel I'm getting somewhere.

Black(slow loading) textures
Thanks for the info. I did a quick test, unlimited fps in p3d, and locked in nvi at 30.5. New nvi is pretty strange with .5 frames. Very short test was definitely smoother. I think I har Vsync and buffering. I'll keep testing.

Black(slow loading) textures
Nope, Windows 10. Still experimenting to find a cure for stutters. It seems lowering texture resolutions helps a bit. Definitely a WIP to find smoothness in P3D. Using 4SGSS also kills fps in bad weather with ASN. Another issue altogether I guess

Black(slow loading) textures
Thanks guys, if I can only get rid of stutters that would be great. Reinstalling FSX SE to get a side by side comparison. Those stutters are annoying. Tried a lot of continuations of AF, and NI settings, you name it. Good performance, not some smooth flying.

Black(slow loading) textures
Merci Normand! Thanks for the advice guys. I'll play with those values. So far I'm liking P3D a lot.

Black(slow loading) textures
Hello all, Long time member of Avsim finally making the switch to P3D after using every sim sim since FS2000. I've been on and off, like a lot of you I'm sure. But I think I'm now ready to come back. To my question. I installed V3.2 and with the help from many topics in this forum am able to run it pretty smoothly on my new machine I7 6700K @4.6,GTX970. I installed a couple of airports I was using in FSX, FT CYUL, CYYZ, and although FPS are at a solid locked 30, I'm seing black textures on buildings and AI planes as I pan around. I tried a bunch of "tweaks" to no avail. I'm probably missing an easy fix somewhere. Thanks in advance for the help on this topic, as well as previous and future issues. Cheers Richard

New NI Relased
I'm also wondering the same thing. Blindly upgraded expecting the same. Now no way to edit P3D settings.

I5 3570K to 6600K
flytrumpet767 replied to flytrumpet767's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcThanks! That's what I thought. I have a gtx 770, but will receive a new 27 inch 1440 monitor later this week. I'm guessing the 970 will help for this, as well as running higher definition clouds. I'm only using PMDG planes too. New card should help in bad weather I gues. Fps are not a problem with the 3570k running at 4.5. Pretty smooth.

New monitor for new gtx 970
flytrumpet767 replied to flytrumpet767's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcThanks for the reply. I'm presently using a 22 1920x1080 HD TV. Any other recommendations for something bigger with higher resolution? I'm hoping for a clearer picture quality. Thanks

New monitor for new gtx 970
As the title says, I'm considering a new monitor to go with my new gtx 970. I'm looking at this one http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-25UM57-P-ultrawide-led-monitor Seems decent for the price. I'm only using FSX for now and was wondering how it looked at this resolution. My cpu is an I5 3570k at 4.5. I wish I coukd go bigger, but I don't have much room on my desk. Thanks

I5 3570K to 6600K
Hello, I'm considering an upgrade from my 3570k running at 4.5 to a 6600k. With appropriate MB and RAM. I should get my new GTX 970 in the next few days to help with AA settings and overall image quality. Would this processor upgrade be worth it? Only using FSX steam with DX 10. Thanks

GPU bottleneck?
flytrumpet767 replied to Propeller's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI was just going to write that removing reshade seem to have fixed the AA issue. I tried at 4SGSS and it actually looks pretty good. My monitor is a 22. Thanks for the pointer on DSR, I'm curious about it. Thanks again
