April 12, 201115 yr Last August I posted a message here about Navigraph's FMS update installer NOT updating the FMS for thefeelthere/Wilco's CRJ. Unfortunately, in spite of being viewed by nearly 350, it didn't illicit a single response! Surely I'm not the only person who has experienced this problem (in fact I know I'm not as I found a couple of posts on Navigraph's support forum about this problem, none contained a solution). At any rate, I still haven't been able to update the FMS on Wilco's CRJ. I've never had any problem updating the FMS on Wilco's 737 and 777 aircraft (which Navigraph supplies a different installer for). The FMS installer for the CRJ reports a successful install but when I start up FS2004 and load a CRJ plane, it's FMS display still lists the JUL04 cycle. I installed the latest CRJ FMS update to a dummy folder and found a "feelthere" folder in it containing a navdata folder, which appears to be identical to the 737/777 FMS navdata folder in FS2004.If the two are identical then why separate installers for the 737/777 and CRJ navdata updates and why can't the CRJ's FMS read it? A response, ANY response, would be appreciated! Thanks!Scott Miller
April 12, 201115 yr Hello,I think that I read long time ago somewhere on feelthere forum that it's a FMC bug, regardless of installed AIRAC cycle, the FMC will still show the old nav database AIRAC 04, but in fact is installed and used the new one, say AIRAC 1104.Anyway AIRAC for Wilco CRJ and Wilco 737/777/Airbus is not identical, these files are installed to different location, and the files inside are also different, the nav data for CRJ are installed to fs9/feelthere/NavData and for 737 to fs9/feelthere/Nd.

According to Mavigraph the CRJ FMS cycle info is hardcoded and can't be changed by their navdata update installer (in a sense this is a bug since whoever wrote the code for the CRJ FMS failed to realize this!). Thanks for the info about where the CRJ and 737 databases are located. I was beginning to think that installing the CRJ update was a waste of time since both are installed in the same feelthere folder (I didn't know there was a difference between the navdata and ND folders)!Scott
April 28, 201412 yr Yes but if it is installed why it doesn't show me the SIDs or STAR? Can somebody please answer this question. You can select the runway and the sid in the fms, but they do not appear on the ND display. A bug???? And a second question. Does the flex option work in the crj 700/900 - it does not appear to make any difference to N1 after inserting an assumed temperature ? However, the flex option appears to work in the CRJ200. Trevor

Trevor I've just figured out after about 2 years of not having any STAR's show up that when I selected a STAR I had to scroll back up to the top and choose the runway on the right and it popped up. This was after I updated the airac. Hope this helps
