Landing by moon light

Featured Replies

I just made a night flight into Gaza (Palestinian Authority) and there was ATC, but no runway lights. It took me a couple passes to figure out where the runway is, but I did finally make a successful landing. Thankfully, the moon was bright and the runway long. :( I recently installed Shockwave Lights and let it adjust the runway lights setting. I was just wondering if someone without Shockwave wants to see if they have runway lights at Gaza.

Just confirming what you saw (or rather did not see). There are no lights of any kind at LGVZ on my FSX setup either. You could use a utility such as ADE9X to add lighting.

Yeah, I was surprised to arrive at a big airport with a tower and ATC, but no lights. It's not worth it for me to update the airport as I was just passing through, working on the Visit Series. If you're not already familiar with it, the Visit Series gives rewards for visiting different countries. It's free, it's fun and it gives you a reason to explore places you might not otherwise go.
