Hi: I have downloaded a repaint of aircraft baron58the file is baron 58.zipunziped to texture.vivaaircraft.txtbaron.jpginstall.txtthumbs.dbcontents of install.txtA Vancouver Island Virtual Airline (ViVa) repaint of the default Baron 58 Just copy the texture.viva into the aircraft directory, add the conents of Aircraft.cfg to your original aircraft.cfg file and change the x in the first line to the correct number. Repaint by me, Ace Rimmer ;-)I copied the folder texture.viva into the aircraft directory.I added the contents of aircraft.txt to aircraft.cfg.Thats all fine. I assume the x should be changed to a 1 because I already have a paint called 0 in aircraft, cfg.I change the x to a 1 and try to save the change and it says access denied. Why is that? Also what are baron.jpg and thumbs.db and do I have to install them anywhere?ThanksRalph

My guess is that you are running either Vista or Win 7 and have run into a permissions issue.Try temporarily turning off (never notify) your UAC (User Account Control) while making the edits using Notepad.. You should then be able to save your work. The jpg is just a picture of the paint job and the thumbs.db is an index which was used by the author. You ignore both of them.Just curious - where did you find that zip file? I do not find it in the library here - at least not by that name.Edit Added: never mind - I found it at the Vancouver Island Virtual Airlines site:http://www.vanisleva.com/

Hi David: Got that all straightened out. Disabled uac notification and then I was able to save it. When I loaded fs the aircraft came up but was not painted. I then realized that I put the texture.viva folder in the main aircraft folder. It should go in the particular aircraft folder. I am learning.Thank you very much. You are a great source of information for me.Look out for more postings from me because I have lot to learn.Ralph
