Strange flight behaviours in cruise and climb

Featured Replies

Hi!I am having a strange issue with my MD-11 in FSX.The plane is producing overspeed warnings at random intervalls as the speed suddenly jumps from one speed to another and now on my flight from KEWR to KLAX the altitude jumps a few hundred feet. I am using REX 2 for my weather and a few addons for airports and scenery.

Dollars to doughnuts its REX shifting the winds aloft on you. Try disabling winds aloft or using a registered version of FSUIPC to cap the rate of change. This should fix you right up.

How do I disable winds aloft? Do you mean the option "Enable realistic storm wind shear and updrafts"? If so, I already disabled those. The bordcomputer has now called out "Altitude" three or four times during cruise and the speeds are also jumping around like crazy.FSUIPC is at the moment something I don´t have the money for....but I think I am planning on buying it next month. Do you really think that fixes that? How about I disable REX for the weather and use the FSX real world weather?I am a little scared that I busted my FSX installation and have to reinstall everything, which would take days.... :unsure:Edit:Ok, I don´t know what´s going on, right now the plane is flying left and right off of the track for the autopilot trying to get back on track and it isn´t working. It´s just banking left and right. Something is definately wrong here.
