Hi guys,I just tried to make a second FSX version for testing with FSXMark11 before I swap my current parts for an i5-2500k. Now I have some probelsm with the FSX installation. The installation itselve doesn´t work. After deleting the registry path to get a new installation I get an error number 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Run Time. Then the installation quits. Before I removed the regisrty it worked, but I only got the repair screen, so i decidet to delete the registry path. Can someone help me?

To do that, you must not delete anything in the registry!!!I have perfectly fine working 2nd FSX install, called FSXvanilla.There are 4 folders that need be renamed to FSX when I want to test:MainAppData RoamingAppData LocalProgramDataAnd you have to do is a repair after you rename all to FSXmain for instance. Then you create Addon Scenery/scenery inside FSX main folder to remove the nag screen on FSX boot.The only problem occurs with FSX SP2 - it has be uninstalled before it's installed again on the new test FSX. I think I uninstall it after I rename my main FSX installation to FSXmain. Then no files get changed. And all things get added to FSXvanilla (FSX at that point).To repair the "damage", I hope the above post helps.I hope this helps.

After a reboot I got the InstallShield working again. Don´t know what happened yesterday, maybe I had been too tired? But I get only the remove/repair screen, no ability to get a fresh installation. FSX regirstry is back to life with the Flight 1 registry tool.@Word Not Allowed: Could you please give me more details, I don´t understand what you mean with renaming and so on.
