'Safe' voltage settings for an X48 Northbridge?

Recommended Posts

I have voltage for the NB set on my ASUS P5E3 Premium at 1.51 currently, and have very good latency and memory read scores. It's all nice n stable, but I am loathe to fry my main board. The ONLY settings I have manually set are:CPU at 1.3425.DRAM at 1.9v (rated at this max)NB at 1.51vMemory timings, Command Rate, Performance LevelI have ALL other settings set at AUTO.What do you think about this with respect to killing my main board? Do you think the NB is ok at this setting? Thanks in advance,Noel

An X48 northbridge with a decent cooler can handle some pretty high volts since the chips run so cool to begin with. 1.6V seems to be the commonly accepted safe maximum voltage, try to keep it under that.

Thank you for that. I'm at 1.53v currently so I'm well under that guide.
