Hello all,I have changed absolutely nothing in my computer but I've started getting this error whenever I try to open Radar Contact. The error states "Run-time error '62' - Radar Contact.rcv4module.read_callsigns"I'm using Win 7, I run the program as administrator. How can I fix this problem? Thanks.

That error refers to a corrupted c4.csv file in your rc4\data folder. Something may have changed it. Was there any attempt to edit it? Was it ever opened in Excel or other spreadsheet program?If you send me a PM with your e-mail address I can send you as copy. If you made a dual installation for fs9 and fsx, you can copy the good c4.csv file over the bad one.Did the airline or manufacturer's name look OK when you chose it? Which one was it? I'll check my version first. Does selecting another name work?

Hi Ronzie,I did not manipulate anything in the folders, which is why this is particularly strange.I do remember though that right before it happened, I changed the Airline call-sign in the options menu. I believe I chose British Airways, the call sign was 'British'I will PM you with my email for the file to replace the corrupted one.Thanks,Hirgab

British Airways CitiExpress Ltd - UK was the only BA with British I noted as the call sign. I loaded a flight up in FS9 at G1 of EGGD and started RC. I got clearance and ground just fine.I sent the c4.csv file to you. Let me know if you get it OK and if you continue to have problems.

I guess the best thing for me to do is re-install. Problem is I don't have the .exe file that I downloaded when I made the purchase. Can I re-download the .exe file?

First insure in Win 7 you have set the shortcut to RC with the shortcut advanced property set to run as admin. Next be sure the properties for the RC folder and the files in it are not set to read only, data folder under it, and all of those files under it are not set to read only. Files that change with options being reset include rcv3.dat and at times keyboard.dat. They especially must not be read only. You can look at with notepad or wordpad (but do not save) rcv3.dat to see if your airline new name is in it. As I said it should not be read only and deleting and creating, writing/modifying rights are required and should not be inhibited in the file attributes property. Note the airline name is the first entry with the radio call next. Later on is the full path to your flight plan including the plan name. See if these are OK.You also have the option of loading RC, clicking debug, loading your flight plan, changing your airline name, and if it crashes go to the RC folder with explorer and see if the rcv4.log was created checking its properties for the current date and size. I'd rename it to rcv4-current date.log and zip it up for sending in to jd. Instructions are pinned at the forum head. This will tell jd where the program failed.See if the link is still valid. If not send a request for it to [email protected] including your current e-mail address, your e-mail address at the time of your order, and your user registered name. Be sure jdtllc.com is allowed through hotmail's and your spam filter.You will need to run the installer in Win 7 by right clicking on it and selecting run as administrator. Save that file somewhere first. When the install is complete it should run RC and the registration screen will pop up. Check your old e-mail with the key. If the product code is the same use the same key. If not complete the registration process.After the install and the initial scenery rebuild you may have to download the most recent FSUIPC and makerwys.exe and install those per the instructions in the pinned topic. Create a shortcut for RC and in its advanced properties set it to run as admin. Then redo the scenery rebuild. Some users have found relief for some add-ons by running them (by setting a shortcut property) in a Win XP SP3 32 bit compatibility mode.Let us know how you get on.It is important to understand stand that you logging in with admin rights and setting a program to run as admin are two separate issues. The second is the most important for running RC in VISTA and Win 7.

Do you mind sending me the full contents of that file so that I can choose other airliners in the future? Strange how the contents of that file was deleted by itself. I have never touched it.
