May 15, 201115 yr Greetings,ASE is not showing the correct weather. This issue has been going on for quite some time. I've finally have had enough and need some help.Weather.png show the current weather for WA state.ASE.jpg shows how ASE depicts the weather.FSX.jpg shows how FSX depicts the weather. How can such a huge discrepancy exist in this application? What are the steps that your QA control uses to ensure that the application is functioning correctly? How do YOU determine that ASE is depicting the correct weather, and that the features are working? Thanks for you help.-Matt
May 15, 201115 yr What I did with ASE to get it working right, was calibrate the option settings based on observation (that was when using the REX cloud set in conjunction with ASE, since it's not quite so good with the default FSX clouds). To do all that, I set up a flight from EGCC (Manchester UK) and then adjusted the ASE options until it matched what I could see outside my window, since EGCC is literally three miles away from me as the crow flies and the national weather centre is also nearby, so I get top notch METAR data for where I live. It is now so good and so accurate, that I can have it start raining in FSX when at EGCC, and then it starts raining over my house about ten minutes later as the wind brings that weather over to where I am (depending of course on which information cycle is running on ATIS at Manchester).Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 16, 201115 yr Hi,Does ASE recognize your current location in FSX?Is Automatic Downloads checked On in ASE?On the weather page in FSX is the theme automatically set to User Defined with ASE running? Is Force to Real Time On in ASE?What is your Suppression Ceiling set to in ASE?Is ASE Build 642 or higher?A screen shot of the ASE Report screen can be helpful to me also.
