MS Flight Missions

Featured Replies

I would really like the forthcoming MS Flight to include missions the way FSX did and improve on them ... I know many purists disapproved of them, but sometimes you just need to let your hair down and have some fun, it was quite remarkable what the FSX mission engine could do and I've only just been reminded of this by trying the freebie and then extremely low price missions from Vertical Studio's as reviewed here on Avsim ... very clever stuff with great voice acting and little surprises :)MS Flight guys must check this forum, please let them know if you would like missions included in the forthcoming sim, so long as time spent on them does not detract from the main sim development I see no harm in this. Please do check out the FSX Vertical Studio's missions as posted on the mission forum here, the first one is free, the follow ons are very cheap but not lacking in quality.

Nothing? Guys thats only 45 views so far I know, but to skim over this means MS Flight will likely do this too ... I'm sure they watch sites like this for habits.

I think that given the broad target MS is apparently aiming for, then missions would seem highly likely in some form or other, probably as a persistent career mode, since this is the most oft-requested feature of most sims. An example of what can be done with the FSX Missions feature is the excellent Aviation and Mission add-on for the Wilco 737, which I reviewed a while back for Avsim. I think it is something other developers would do well to have a look at since it was a great training tool.Al
