New Machine

Featured Replies

I'm just about to take delivery of a newly built system which will include Win 7. I'll be moving from XP. I'm planning on having the C drive as mostly a system drive with an E drive dedicated to FSX and it's various files. I'm OK about moving most of my data from one machine to another but I plan to do a new and fresh FSX install on drive E. Does anyone think that will cause future problems with FSX? I'm assuming that it would read as E:FSX or E:Microsoft Flight Simulator X.FSX or something similar.Any comments will be very helpful. Criticisms too.Jack Fentress

Jack - congrats on the new system. It is recommended that FSX be put on it's own drive rather than the default C:\program Files..... so you are just fine with E:\FSX. I have mine of F:.Enjoy!Vic

Just make sure that when you start the installation, click the button labeled "More options" to change the default folder.
