May 24, 201115 yr I'm just about to take delivery of a newly built system which will include Win 7. I'll be moving from XP. I'm planning on having the C drive as mostly a system drive with an E drive dedicated to FSX and it's various files. I'm OK about moving most of my data from one machine to another but I plan to do a new and fresh FSX install on drive E. Does anyone think that will cause future problems with FSX? I'm assuming that it would read as E:FSX or E:Microsoft Flight Simulator X.FSX or something similar.Any comments will be very helpful. Criticisms too.Jack Fentress
May 24, 201115 yr Moderator Jack - congrats on the new system. It is recommended that FSX be put on it's own drive rather than the default C:\program Files..... so you are just fine with E:\FSX. I have mine of F:.Enjoy!Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
May 24, 201115 yr Author Vic............Thanks for that. I was a little concerned that it seemed "too simple".Jack
June 5, 201115 yr Just make sure that when you start the installation, click the button labeled "More options" to change the default folder.
