May 30, 201115 yr I'm new here and am in desperate need of help. I don't use ATC, but I find it fun and realistic to listen to the local ATIS frequency. The problem is, however, that I do not have ANY voice sounds in game, or even text for that matter. Whenever I go into the ATC dialogue box, it doesn't even have airport or center names it just has "Center" or "Approach" or "Select to tune Traffic." In the General settings in FSX, when I go to select a voice for my pilot, there aren't any voices in the drop down box. I've done numerous repairs with both the FSX Deluxe discs, and my FSX: Acceleration disc.Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

Then in the General setting, make sure you have a pilot voice assigned. If those are ok, check that your speaker settings on your sound card match what you actually have. For example, if you just have stereo speakers, make sure your sound card isn't set for 5-Channel Surround. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
May 31, 201115 yr If like me your having problems keeping the ATC sound volumes stable with FSX Windows 7, try this. It worked for me. Open Control Panel/Sound/Communications, Choose the "Do Nothing" option then Apply. I guess it's reading the ATC as a phone transmission.
