June 6, 201114 yr Just bought three Lionheart creation aircraft yesterday. I installed the better performing textures to boost performance but only one aircraft performs the way all my other FS9 aircraft does (the Quest Kodiak). I can't get the Epic and new WT-9 Dynamic to run smooth for anything. It's the the glass gauges are coded badly or something. My question is first are others seeing this and second is there a fix or work around for these poor performing models. I have a beefy enough system to run any add-on I've thrown at FS9 over the years and by comparison the Kodiak runs fine (which I've very glad about for my Alaska Cargo runs), what the heck is wrong with the older two birds. Thanks in advance for any help resolving this. Lionheart has no real forum or I would have posted this over there. General support is only going to tell me there's something wrong with my system.... June 7, 201114 yr It's your system. :( Just kidding! I wonder if a reinstall as administrator won't help, because I have no problems running the Dynamic on my E8500-based system at all; it performs like a default aircraft even at busy airports. Might be a conflicting gauge somewhere also. John G.
June 8, 201114 yr Author For anyone interested the solution to this problem is to comment out (//) the FBGS_XMLSound.gau in the VC section of the 'panel.cfg' file for the Epic and Dynamic. You can leave the 2D panel entry but having this gauge active in both the 2D and 3D panel sections causes performance issues for some of us. Leaving it active in the 2D section lets you retain all the sounds you should here in the VC for clicking switches etc. You just don't need two entries in the 'panel.cfg' file conflicting with each other. This may be one of those carry over issues like Caranado has of doing two versions for both FSX and FS9.Example:// gauge00=FBGS_XMLSound!FBGS_XMLSound, 803,576,23,23 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
