HiQuestion for you:Performance wise, does it make sense to dedicate one small SSD for Windows and a larger one to FS9/FSX?Can someone also confirm that partioning a SSD dos not add any value (when it used to for spinning hard drives).ThanksGhiom

You can do some research on this forum but the general conclusion is that is makes little difference to use SSD's over regular SATA drives. Only difference is that windows and FSX loads faster when initializing the flight.Mark.

My personal experience is that a dedicated SSD for FSX makes for smoother flight..Partitioning the SSD does not help.

My setup is a 256GB SSD for Windows (60GB) plus supporting programs for FSX (REX,GEX,large meshes, FSC9, etc - 180GB) and a dedicated one for FSXBenefits of a SSD are much faster loading times and improved smoothness (for example when it comes to texture loading).SSD's on a mid range computer, however, make little sense. The CPU bottleneck will nullify the SSD advantages.
