June 14, 201114 yr Just finished reading the "A Beginner's guide Flight Simulation" article in the latest issue of PC Pilot and it mentions that the root installation of fsx should not be placed in the default ProgramFilesx86 folder as it causes issues, but "directly into the C: drive.Well I have just completed a full re-install of FSX + add-ons (nearly a week's work) so what do you think? Just move everything into another folder outside of the default? Will this work? Is it really necessary?
June 14, 201114 yr It's because some get security problems when installed in the default folder. If you don't have any issues I wouldn't bother. If you do copy the folder use FSX registry utility to fix the path (not sure if your addons will still work) John doe
