The adjusted GNS430 right knob click areas

Recommended Posts

Explaining the clickspots again for the adjusted GNS430See the attached picture. Some have already seen that you can click the bottom right side click spot slightly on the left side, so people might think the clickspot is wrong way round but in fact it is not so. I have deliberately moved the bottom right clickspot of right knob slightly to the left so that you can still access the bottom right clickspot that is obscured by the bonanza/C208 model knobs. The bottom left click of the right knob has been moved a bit further away to the left.if you look at the picture and you look from the pilot view as in the picture you will clearly see the bottom right clickspot is obscured by the model knobs. if you dont use the model knobs then you will still be fine with the clickspots. Most bonanza users do use the model knobs but could then not access the bottom right click spot in the VC. Hope it make sense. This problem was with the bonanza and the C208. In the popup you do not have this issue. If you wnated the right bottom clickspot to work only on right bottom side then users was then forced not to use the 3D knobs. So to have the best of both worlds, I decided to rather move it slightly to left to let them access the right bottom clickspot in VC mode with 3D buttons. newmodedfiled.jpgSo it is not wrong, it has been deliberately done so that bonanza users can access the right bottom clickspot (indicated with darker blue area) when using the 3D model knobs. The left bottom click is just slightly more left (light blue area)enjoy
