July 5, 201114 yr Folks, Does someone know how to increase drag-effect on the Wilco Airbus 340-600 using the spoilers. While flying and I need to decrease speed and I activate speed-brakes the a/c hardly decreases speed-- even at straight and level flight. (compared to all other add-ons)...I imagine it's done at the a/c CFG but not sure where. Thanks,Johnny
July 5, 201114 yr Just a guess here as I dont have the that aircraft: Can you confirm the spoilers are fully extended via exterior view? (Perhaps spoilers are not deploying with the lever moving only to the "auto spolier" detent for landing).
July 5, 201114 yr You need AirEd to open the .air file. (had it for years, probably still in the Avsim library) Scroll down to "1101 Primary aerodynamics" click on that and scroll down to "Cd_ds Drag Coefficient-Spoiler+=261" Click on that and the 261 will open in a box for you to edit. Increase that number. The higher the number, the more powerful the spoiler. Press ENTER, then close AirEd and click YES to save. Trial and error till you get the amount of drag you want.Russell.

Just a thought.Tom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722

Just a thought.TomTom, thank you so much....This did it.I used the utility (not easy at first), and finally got an acceptable decerease in speed on my Airbus 340-600. I increased from "88" to "160" and it gives a nice realistic reduce in speed.Johnny
