Will the new AMD bulldozer processors bring sandybridge to its knees? Is there anyone with the fsx expertise who may know if fsx could utilize all 8 cores and 16mb cache in the new AMD processors? Yes, there is a field in your fsx.cfg file that you have to change: [JOBSCHEDULER]AffinityMaskThe value you want to change it to is a binary value for the number of cores that you want FSX to use.For example if you want to use all 8 cores the value of the first core is 2, then 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256. Add those values to getter and you get the affinitymask value you can use. If you want to use 6 cores you can use 126 or 504. If you use 4 cores to fsx then you can try 30. You can do some more searching about affinity mask and multi-core CPUS. Bjote's tweaker has a setting for up to 8 core CPUs.If I got something wrong I'm sorry.

I thought you didn't have to add that to the fsx.cfg is you have installed FSX SP1?
