How to scroll the MCDU waypoints

Featured Replies

I duplicate the London-Zurich tutorial ( Swissair Flight ) and after entering the flight plan into the MCDUI see the following waypoints:RW27LILLI^EPMNBDT29ADET5Is there a possibility to scroll down to the next wayppoints and see them all ?I tried with the up and down arrow but that does not work. The waypoints are entered according to the flight plan from London to Zurich but only show 5 at the time. But they all appear when passing them.Is this the way the MCDU is set up ? Or I am missing anything ?ThanksHerbert Werni

Herbert, use the UP-arrow to scroll along your route from departure to destination. Then use the down-arrow to scroll from destination towards present position. Mind you scrolling will NOT stop once reaching the bottom or the top, it will just continue as an endless loop.Regards,Markus

In addition, to check your entered route for any errors/issues along the track, especially for SID and STAR errors, you can switch to "Plan Mode" on your glareshield. The use of the UP- and DOWN- arrows on the MCDU, described by Markus already, will guide you not only along the programmed route within the MCDU, but also on your ND for visual reference.plan-mode__route-check.jpgRemember, that the navigation entry on LSK 2L is the one being centered on your ND, if in "Plan mode". You can zoom in and out, using the "DECR" and "INCR" buttons underneath the "Plan mode" button in the 'Range'-section on your glareshield panel which will decrease or increase the displayed area around your MD-11 (reflected by the 2 circles (in this case from inner to outer range 10 and 20 nm).best regards, toby
