Nav Mode Not Working

Featured Replies

I am about to study the Swissair Flight London-Zurich tutorial and while duplicating the flight I am running intoproblems. When ready for take off the green box appears, indicating that all is correctly configured. As the tutorial says,I then push the NAV Mode button, getting the message NavArmed on the PFD ( in Magenta )Then I engage AUTOFLIGHT and advance the throttle as explained. After 400 feet altitude I press AUTOFLIGHT again, the autopilot engages but the NavMode should indicateNAV1 ( on the PFD ) but it never does.Instead the PFD indicates Heading 272 ( in white )I also tried to take off first, engage AUTOFLIGHT and then Nav.Same result.Since I tried this about 10 times with the same results I decided to contact the Forum, hoping somebodycan give me a hint.ThanksHubert Werni

Note that the altitude level is above GROUND level not sea level.David

Would have to give it a shot again, but have you set up your baro settings correctly? Also you might have been tipped onto the selector knob (continue flight on current heading). Pulling the knob (RMB) would turn the aircraft to the new preselected heading/track.toby
