Level-d 767 Autopilot Disconnect problems

Featured Replies

Hi Guys;Don't know if anyone can help me but when flying the Level-D 767 the autopilot has been disconnecting several times in the cruise mode. I am operating with Windows 7 I also have a Saitek Proflight yoke system. The problem dose not happen when I fly regular Aircraft in FSX. When it happens I have to click on the mode 1 on the Autopilot panel.Any help will be appreciated. Harry

Hi Harry,Does this happen whilst you are moving the yoke around this may be a simple mistake for example leaning on the yoke/joystick could disengage the autopilot. Without you knowing it.Otherwise, maybe try re-intalling the software and run in administrator rights and run FSX/FS9 with ADMIN rights aswell.Matt
Hi Matt;Thank you for your reply. The answer is no. I am no where near the yoke. When you said to reinstall the software do you mean the flightsim itself or the Saitek yoke software or both? I have heard of some people having problems caused by the Saitek yoke system. I might have to contact Saitek and see if they have some answers.Harry

Just an update to my original post. When flying the default A/C the autopilot has no problems. The problem is with only the Level-D 767. Hope someone can help.ThanksHarry

I know this may sound ludicrous, but try disconnecting the yoke system during cruise and see if the autopilot still disconnects. If the disconnects still occur it'll indicate a problem with the aircraft, else it'll be with the yoke. With the Level-D 767 the autopilot will disconnect when significant movement is detected by the yoke. I am not sure if this feature can be disabled. Do the disconnects happen in straight and level flight, with no turbulence? If the disconnects do not occur when the yoke has been disconnected, then try the yoke setup and nulling zones. Would there anything else that you may do during cruise to cause the disconnects (besides the yoke) i.e using the arrow keys? Craig
