  1. Let's not debate about that... let's try and work out why the download speeds are slow... (they still are for me).
  2. Hi guys, I have been doing my own tests here. I too use the Amazon S3 storage to store files. Downloading the PSX 777 Base Package today I was getting 16Kb/s; using a download accelerator I was getting 374Kb/s. Now with a 500Mb file on my AWS account (located in Ireland, I live in the UK) I was getting 3Mb/s, and with a download accelerator 7Mb/s. I use the Amazon cloud functionality so it appears on multiple servers around the globe. But it appears PMDG only use a server based in the US (from what I can see). They do not use the Amazon cloud functionality. If they do something is going wrong somewhere for the guys across the pond! Regards Craig
  3. Hello, I have just installed PMDG 777-200/300 for P3D V3, all the systems seems to be working fine... however the landing lights do not illuminate the ground. They do in other aircraft such as the Aerosoft Airbus packages. I also have the option in P3D 'Landing-lights illuminate ground' ticked. Any ideas what the problem might be? Kind Regards Craig
  4. Yup it worked before the new year...
  5. I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not so I shall post any way! Every time I start up the aircraft I now get 'NAV DATA OUT OF DATE' on the FMC. But the current AIRAC is 1313, isnt it? Btw, my date format shown is the UK style 'dd/mm/yyyy' not the US style 'mm/dd/yyyy' Regards Craig Please delete, multiple posting due to 'Service Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.' COME ON AVSIM SORT IT OUT, HOW HARD CAN IT BE?
  6. I performed an RTO, which caused the brakes to overheat and deflate. But upon using the FMC to fix the failures, it didn't work... So I went to Menu -> PMDG Setup -> Aircraft -> Failures -> Active: 14 LSK R6 (CLEAR ALL) -> Exec The brake pressure gets reset to 200, but the brake temp is never fixed, so the brake pressure plummets down to 0 again. Something I am doing wrong, or a bug? Regards Craig
  7. Sorry forgot to mention... did that, but no dice
  8. After installing SP1, reinstalling liveries and selecting low res textures, I took the NGX for a spin around Gatwick... After going into an exernal view then back into an internal (both tried with VC and 2D) engine sounds had stop working, even though the engines were running... I shall see if I can replicate tomorrow.Craig
  9. Thomson Airways seems to be a popular request...
  10. I too partially agree with this statement. I am a software developer and in my opinion it is crucial to liaise or provide development updates for a potential customer's satisfaction. As you are aware there are several competitive simming companies, such as yourselves, like CS and QW who want to come out on top to develop the perfect sim add-on. With recent development updates it reassures and reinforces the notion to potential customers that this product IS worth waiting for and development is still on-going. With yourselves however, without this information users have nothing to go by, there's nothing to enforce that this product is in ACTIVE development or how detailed the product is/will be. Users would therefore opt to purchase competitive products such as CS and QW, thus resulting in a loss of a potential customer. One screenshot, and an "update" dated 10 Aug 2010, is NOT a recent update. This may all seem a little harsh, I know. I fully understand that development is constructed around real life issues, work, families, etc... But if work-load is taking a strain perhaps increasing your man power would help? As I mentioned above I am a software developer (C#, C, C++), perhaps I can offer my services to help things move a long a bit?RegardsCraig Phillips
