  1. Hello! Thanks for the update! Quick question after reading through the manual and quick start guide, section 5 has the livery scanning section I followed. I may be understanding it incorrectly. I have unchecked the the 'Automatic' box. Do I make the changes in the parameter.xml file, and not within the new app? Also, reading through the forums it may be ideal to have AIG folder scanned first then FSLTL? Thanks for your help!

  3. Greetings! I performed a flight from KBOS to EHAM. The flight was overnight and when I revisited the sim and set the MCP ALT to a lower amount so I can descend via VNAV. I noticed nothing was happening. When I went to the VNAV page I noticed VNAV Alt was set at 8000 and not FL350. All of the preparation work was done using PPFP as I am teaching myself ETOPS operations. Upon further review of the legs page I noticed three waypoints in the start with 8000 for the altitude. Any ideas of why this happened? I reset the VNAV cruise from 8000 to FL350 and then used the MCP ALT and pressed it in to start the VNAV SPD mode for descent. Thank you.

  5. I had a flight today from KMEM to KHOU in a 777. PPFX/TOPCAT stated the assumed temp is +70C. OAT was 28C. The FMC on the PMDG 777 did not derate to T-01 as Topcat had recommended. I selected T-01. What the FMC did do was switch to CLM2? What are the differences between the left and right columns on the Thrust limit page? What are the differences between the CLMB settings? Thanks.

  7. Diving really deep into the PMDG 777 simulation. Flew a VATSIM flight from ORD to EGLL today and the controller as me to change the STAR. Easy enough, however is there a procedure that will assist in cleaning up the previous start and still using the same transition fix? Thank you.
  8. I figured out why PMDG 777 weather radar was not working. I had to remove the ASNwxRadarPath= path from FSUIPC for my PROSIM737 simulator. Once I started Prepar3D V3.3 with the PMDG 777 loaded the radar kicked in. Is there a way to have my FSUIPC with the ASN radar path working as well. I switch between both aircraft quite often.   9. Bottom line is people comparing this to Fsx Steam addition and stating that LM P3D is for professional use only is wrong. This sim is our Fsx replacement.
  10. What is the performance difference between FL side on and off?
  11. When I go to cockpit view and undock the windows my frame rates are 30-50fps. When I go into VC it is 17 fps. This is normal for this program.
  12. From PMDG's website. This is compatible only with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D. (v2.2.x - v2.4.x)
  13. Great thread. Couple of questions. 1.) I am using Prepar3D with the new PMDG 777 for the sim. 2.) My work flow consists of using PFPX for flighting planning with ASN active for weather data and then exporting it to PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS, PMDG\WX, and Prepar3D V2 Files. 3.) I load the flight plan into the FMC of the PMDG 777, I select Wind Data Request and input the data. 'W' pop up and show the wind information. Questions: 1.) When ASN is live and connected is the WX file updating at the ASN update intervals? 2.) If this is the case and when in mid-flight when I select Wind Data Request again will it update this data?
