  1. Thanks for all the input, installing with admin rights did the trick. Matt
  2. I just installed P3D 2.5 and also reinstalled the PMDG 777 after reading it works under the new version. However, hardly any click spots in the cockpit seem to be functional, all screens are black, the yoke is turned sideways and the aircraft doesn't show its gear. Can anyone let me know what to do about this? Thanks Matt
  3. This seems to have done the trick. Thank you very much! Matt
  4. Hi all, I'm still struggling with my AI setup in P3D V2.2. I ported over my traffic files from FS9 (converting them to FSX-format using AIFP2) and copied my aircraft files into the appropriate simobjects/airplanes-folder. I also converted the texture files to the dds-format. Now, this works somewhat unreliably as depending on the airport and time P3D crashes as soon as the progress bar indicates that AI traffic is being loaded. Weird enough, if I restart P3D right after such a crash occasionally it loads up just fine although I selected the same airport and time as before. I've been trying to isolate faulty AI A/C and flight plans through trial and error but this is pretty unreliable as there is no way to check all files under all possible conditions. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions on how to solve this issue. Here are the AI models I'm using (maybe someone can spot a faulty one straight away) AIA: B717, B727, B732, B733, B734, B735, B 736, B73G, B738, B739, B742, B743, B744, B763, B764, DC8, E120, E170, E175, E190, E195, F70, F100, MD80, T204 Fernando MARTINEZ Bae 146-100 - 300/RJ70-100, D228 The Fruit Stand: A300, A310, A332, A333, A342, A343, A345, A346, A380, B772, B77L, B773, B77W, DH2, DH3, DH4, S20, SF3 FAIB: A318, A319, A320, A321, B732, B733, B734, B735, B736, B73G, B738, B739 DJC: A318, A319, A320, A321 CIS: AN24, MA60, YK42 Globusworld: B788, MD11, SSJ AIG: B752, B753, CR7, CR9, D328JET, DC9 AIM: B762, CRJ, D10, ERJ OSP: AT4, AT7 PAI: ATP, DHC6 UTT: B748, B788, SSJ HTAI: B1900D JBAI: D328 Dee Waldron: F27 FSPainter: F50 SKJ: IL96 SBAI: A148 Thanks Matt
  5. Hello, out of laziness I just copied over my large collection of AI aircraft from FS2004 to P3D V2 (made the jump directly skipping FSX and V1). This works fine, except a few A/C which apparently make P3D crash. Is there an easy way how to identify the trouble makers. Maybe a general rule which file format P3D can't take? Thanks for any input Matt

  7. Thanks, tried it and it works!Matt
  8. Hi,I recently bought X-plane 10. Although I'm pretty impressed by the simulation in general I'm having problems assigning my joysticks. I've got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick,CH flight pedals and a Saitek Pro Flight yoke including thrust levers. Now I'm trying to assign the Z-axis of the Logitech joystick to the nose wheel steering which XPX seems to think is a dumb idea. It just won't let me do it. Instead, interstingly, the z-axis operates the number 1 engine, at least in the 747. If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate any input.ThanksMatt
  9. Had the same thing happen to me a lot when I was using both joystick and flight yoke. If you have this kind of setup too make sure only one of them is set for aileron and vertical stabilizer inputs.Matt
  10. I finally came around to doing an autoland and can attest that also works wonderfully. Great work Nandan!Matt
  11. Nandan, took the 772 for a spin last night and thought the merge worked really well. The only complaint that I have is some vertical oscillation at cruising alt. Maybe that was turbulence since it didn't occur the whole time. I was travelling between FL290 and FL330 at around M.81.In case you need suggestions for future projects I'm still looking for a Posky 773 / PSS merge and to hook the new Project Airbus 380 to Wilco's 380 panel :( Matt
  12. Hi all,is there anyone out there who's got ARMI TIC's VTBS PROJECT 2010 that was recently released on Simmarket? Does it live up to the author's claims that the frame rates were improved. Also I believe there was a flicker issue with the ground textures. Is that gone?Matt
  13. During a flight from Frankfurt to Seoul last night it struck me that it would be nice to be able to cut out a portion of your flight and to return to your captain's seat say an our prior to landing. I know that you can place your aircraft anywhere in the world. But since I use Radar Contact said contact would be lost. Also the fuel load and time would have to be altered manually. Is there a tool out there that does these things automatically? MattPS: I realize this kind of defeats the purpose of long haul flights but I love to fly the big iron on realistic routes yet don't have the time to hang in there for five hours straight :-)
  14. Thanks for now. In case I phrased my question not clear enough, obviously I meant the trucks and not the kind of fuel/liquid they carry. Any more hints are greatly appreciated.Matthias
  15. Hi all,I'd love to know what types of fuel trucks the ones in the pic are. I need this info so I can model them for a scenery project of mine. Thanks in advance,Matthiashttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/169241.jpg
