MCP Combo II

Featured Replies

Can anyone from PMDG comment on whether or not the new 737 NGX software will be compatible with the new VR Insight MCP Combo II??http://www.vrinsight.com/public_html/index.php?module=Board&action=SiteBoard_1&iBrdNo=30&sMode=SELECT_FORMThanks!Phil

While I can only speculate, I suspect it will be the good old SDK issue. Whenever the hardware vendor opts to make use of the SDK, it should be compatible. Outta the box - highly doubt it.sig.gif

aha, so vrinsight has released another mcpcombo. i had rather hoped they would have invested in improving their existing releases by updating their serialf2p software, which leaves much to be desired, but instead they jump to another device yet again. Luckily LINDA has been released recently.

The NGX is not natively compatible with ANY custom hardware - the SDK will need to be used to program compatible drivers - this is up to the hardware makers, there is no way we can do this ourselves.

Their Tack and Toggle Panel and Multi Switch Panel are stand alone and don't need SerialFP2, I don't understand why they kept it for the MCP II. There's probably a good reason though... I guess
