Default flight and settings not saving?

Featured Replies

Hi all,Ok, when I start a flight three things occur which led me to save the fixed settings as a default flight, BUT they are NOT saving....[FSX]1. The Sound Off text is on in the top right corner and of course the sound is off....have to click Q to put sound on.2. The runway is all that I can see through the cockpit Window, so I have to use the Hat Switch on my controller to move the horizon back down so I can see sky and the end of the runway - Horizon being moved from the top of the screen moving it down the screen towards the middle of the screen.3. Have to resize the 2D Cockpit as the top edge of the 2D cockpit window hasnt quite filled the top of the screen, meaning I have to drag the cockpit layer up to fill the top of the screen, the window is full screen but not the 2D Cockpit layer, around 25px short from filling the screen at the top.Hope this makes sense, I save the fixed settings as the default fligh tbut when I load the default flight after closing FSX completely it does not load them when I start a fresh default flight?Any thoughts on this one guys??Many thanks in advance......

Very likely because FSX is not shutting down properly (that's when it saves its settings). That might be caused by fsx.cfg file being accidentally locked in "read only" mode, or an add-on module dll you may have installed that is not unloading properly.Look at EventViewer for exception events following FSX shutdon.BestGeraldhttp://www.multicrewxp.com
