  1. ok wow, I suspected the driver was the culprit because fsx has been perfectly stable, hardware change and crashes ever since, game would last 30 secs if I am lucky, ok I have used the last whql driver first this was the one I loaded with the new card, no good of course, then I loaded the latest beta driver no good. There are two version in between the whql and the latest driver so I will download both of these and see how I go, thanks guys very very much, will keep you posted
  2. HI guys, Ok I have installed the new graphics driver also, I do a fresh install where it uninstalls the old drivers then install the new one.   4. Ok guys, this is bad, new fsx.cfg, appcrash says it fsx.exe Its just a new graphics card, and no the GPU is not overclocked at all, its literally the only component that has changed
  5. HI guys, Ok, Ran FSX on two 560 SOC GPU's, replaced them with one GTX 770 - Sweet card, latest drivers, changed the fsx.cfg setting for the new card and display etc ?? Guarantee FSX lasts no longer than 30 seconds in game and the fsx stopped working error, it will crash every time. Ok guys anyone got any thoughts on this as I am totally hanging to play FSX with this new card but boy it will crash within 2-30 seconds The Microsoft Flight SImulator has stopped working error. Guys any thoughts on this one? many thanks in adavance

Hi Folks, I have tried using nicksmoke unsuccessfully with the PMDG 747 as there are =9 in the effect which affects logo lights etc and not all 4 engines blow smoke, can anyone offer a realistic solution that works for the 4 engine smoke effects for the PMDG 747, and the positions of the effects if possible. Your help is greatly appreciated, many thanks all.

  9. Hi folks, I have just installed the iFLY 737 and have noted I need to set specific key assignments and also I will need to set up FSUIPC for the iFLY. Quick question as I am not doing anything until I have some clarification on this, do I set aircraft specific in FSUIPC for the iFLY so I can set the throttles and other things in FSUIPC as I have all my current aircraft and harware setup in FSUIPC. Now if I set aircraft specific does this mean I need to redo throttles etc for each iFLY version, 600, 700 etc? Whats the easiest setup, configure as many iFLY specific keys and then do throttles etc in FSUIPC for aircraft specific for iFLY? Many thanks in advance folks.....

  11. Hi Folks, I have tried the following ENB settings amongst other settings and I really like these very much. The only qualm I have is that the aircraft etc is soft and not sharp. The details and lines etc in all the aircraft etc are soft and when I check without ENB activated everything is sharp and detailed......could someone please advise me which of the settings in the below .ini file that I need to change to bring the sharpness back but still maintain the other ENB settings........many thanks in advance folks....   13. Hi all, Ok this is strange....had FSX loading perfectly every time with the exprected frames rates as per normal. Bought some 2133 RAM as recommended on this forum.....Now I have to fully load FSX twice to get the normal frame rates. For example I might load Rio De Janerio and the very first time I load FSX its around like 10 FPS. I have to totally close FSX down and restart it and the Loading etc and everything else is faster and when I go to Rio for the second time I am getting my usual 25-30 frames. Go Figure.....yes the RAM has made the experience smoother but now I have to load FSX twice.... Any help here would be most appreciated, thank you folks.......Happy mother Day to the mums down under too :)

  16. HI Folks, I know there are so many threads on this subject but what out of these three pieces of Hardware would give better frames in FSX. I run an i7 @ 4.8ghz have Standard IDE drives Read/Write 125mb/s OS on one FSX on another dedicated. x2 560ti OC & 16gb of 1333 Ram. Any immediate thoughts to make FSX better? Many thanks for any suggestions......

  18. Hi Folks, Yep I have one airport where the AI aircraft and my aircraft are a few meteres above the runway in mid air. Doing some reading can I simply edit the altitude in an AFCAD editor to reduce all aircraft sitting elevation to the actual runway below? Or do I need to do something else also.......many thanks in advance folks

  22. Hi Randall, many thanks for your reply, I have one question though....isn't that deleting Bojotes Shader 3 Mod? or the sahder directory you mentioned only affects the water? Are you still using the shader 3 mod and the directory above you mentioned just changes the water back to the original? I am asking this because I am not sure if you have fully reverted back to default before the shader 3 mod, or this change only affects the water. Have you reverted fully back or just the water part, as I want the shader 3 mod but the original water, sorry I hope that wans't confusing Many thanks Randall for a reply to confim my questions.......cheers

Hi guys, can you explain how I can use the shader 3 mod and return the water aspect to pre shader 3, could you please list the folders and files you changed back to keep the pre shader three, or better still can someone such as randall list the steps you took to keep the shader 3 stuff but returned the water to pre shader 3? I am having the same issues and would like the shader 3 mod stuff but I want to go back to the pre shader 3 in regards to water......many thanks in advance

  25. Hi all, The Manager of finance has given me approval for a flight yoke + throttle (happy camper:) Can anyone suggest a flight yoke + throttle combo that is reasonably priced and that has force feedback if thats the norm? Many thanks in advance all..........
