November 13, 201213 yr Hi Folks, I have tried the following ENB settings amongst other settings and I really like these very much. The only qualm I have is that the aircraft etc is soft and not sharp. The details and lines etc in all the aircraft etc are soft and when I check without ENB activated everything is sharp and detailed......could someone please advise me which of the settings in the below .ini file that I need to change to bring the sharpness back but still maintain the other ENB settings........many thanks in advance folks.... November 13, 201213 yr could someone please advise me which of the settings in the below .ini file that I need to change to bring the sharpness back None. ENB is causing that for everyone. You should look into SweetFX, there is a thread on the main FSX forum. It is not causing the blurriness.
November 13, 201213 yr I dont use ENB anymore, but if you insist, try changing all the following values to 0 and see how you go: EnableOcclusion=1 EnableReflection=1 EnableMotionblur=1 EnableWater=1 EnableShadow=1 DepthBias=1 DIMITRI
November 13, 201213 yr Author Wow, thanks gents....havn't loaded it but I can see this is what I have been looking for, thank you so very much........cheers
November 14, 201213 yr None. ENB is causing that for everyone. You should look into SweetFX, there is a thread on the main FSX forum. It is not causing the blurriness. Word Not Allowed, what is your current impression of the performance hit from SweeetFX, especially for lower end GPUs? I am using a GTX 280. November 14, 201213 yr Word Not Allowed, what is your current impression of the performance hit from SweeetFX, especially for lower end GPUs? I am using a GTX 280. Noel Terrible. Takes a high toll on the FPS and I stopped using it because of that. Other than that, it was also crashing my sim for some reason. FSX wouldn't even start at times.
November 14, 201213 yr SweetFX is a great enhancement addon but due to the interruptions it causes with my FPSLimiter, I decided to remove it. There seems to be no way to run SweetFX and the FPSLimiter together. It didn't,however, cause any performance issues for me aka loss in frames. I'm using an ATI Radeon HD5750 1GB. If someone has a solution to the FPSLimiter integration with SweetFX, please message me. Cheers
November 14, 201213 yr After several tries with different tools (ENB, Shade) i came to FXAA. Its stable, doesn't consume much fps and it's free. The only thing is you have to try out within the ToneMap setting because the standard setting (I'm using Preset4) is darkening to whole FSX a bit too much. It has sharpening settings, too which are very goog imo. Regards Hirschi
November 19, 201213 yr I agree with Word Not Allowed on this one. SweetFX causes crashes for me and does give me a hit on fps that I can not tolerate. However, I don't understand this blurriness point. My display is sharp as a tack using ENB. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
November 20, 201213 yr I stayed away from ENB for a year now to see if the kinks would be worked out. Based on this thread am I to assume that ENB has gotten rid of that dreaded dll and app crash? Or at least made stable for FSX? Dylan Charles "The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."
November 20, 201213 yr Other than that, it was also crashing my sim for some reason. FSX wouldn't even start at times. Me too, I've had terrible luck with this tweak, especially with PMDG products. I primary used it only to get darker nights. Word Not Allowed, do you have any idea if there's a way to make nights more dark other than having ENB installed? Jacek G. November 20, 201213 yr You could try FXAA injector tool Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
November 20, 201213 yr With FXAA and SweeFx you can modify Sharpness. November 20, 201213 yr There is a menu in FXAA to sharpen IIRC. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
