EZDOK & 2D Viewpoint FIX

Featured Replies

Hi All,My 2D Viewpoint is looking into the runway, needing to always move the hat switch down to bring the horizon and sky into view each time, default saved flight doesnt fix this, Can EZDOK affect this?I assume EZDOK does VC only but can I save the new correct 2D viewpoint in EZdok? If not, what is the best way to save the correct viewpoint....I belive there is the aircraft.cfg views and the panel forward views, which out of the three is the correct way to permanently fix this, BTW all of my aircraft 2D viewpoints are looking into the runway this is why I thought it might be EZDOKMany thanks in advance for any ideas here.......

I find the 2D view will display based on the 3D view. It may be that your 3D view is looking downwards more therefore when you go into 2D it is also. A test would be to look a bit higher than your normal 3d view then switch to 2d. I bet the 2D view will be closer to where you want it then.Jim

Brilliant Jim, makes a lot of sense.......one thing I cannot work out is when EZDOK is not enabled I can use Shift+Enter to physically move the aircraft upwards off the runway.Currently the aircraft sit too low to the runway but when I am in EZDOK the POV settings only affect your viewpoint in the cockpit itself, is there a way to physically move the aircraft off the ground to a more normal height you would expect for an aircraft. the answer you gave will also assist with the correct 2D viewpoint....So is there a way to physically move the aircraft off the runway...........Also one more question, is it the Camera.cfg residing in the FSX.CFG folder that are the initial camera definition settings for ezdok and existing cameras, which camera definitions for EZDOK etc are the main camera settings I can play around with apart from EZDOK settings themselves, as you cannot edit the 2D apart from what you are saying......Many thanks in advance.......
