CaptainSim Problems

Featured Replies

I am successfully using LINDA and my VRinsight MCP PRO to control the iFly 737NG and Level-D 767, so I'm pretty sure I have my setup configured correctly. However, I get no response to the MCP controls when I load the CaptainSim 757. When I switch to the 757, LINDA automatically detects it and loads it to be the current one, but none of the controls work. I tried duplicating the 757 files (as described in another thread) and linking them to the CS 767 to see if maybe it was only a problem with the 757, but the 767 doesn't work either.Does anyone have any further troubleshooting advice for me? I re-installed the CS 757 fresh from the original installer to make sure nothing was corrupted, but still no luck at all controlling it.BTW: version of LINDA is 1.0.3, version of CaptainSim module is 1.0, and version of CaptainSim 757 is 4.4 for FSX.

I'm having the same problem with the new PMDG 737NGX, everything loads and looks right, but the controls do nothing in the sim. The only LINDA modules that work on my system are the FSX default aircraft and the iFly 737, and these work perfectly. Does the iFly module use a different mechanism to set values than CaptainSim and PMDG? What could be wrong here?

Seems to be the same case: http://forum.avsim.n...nning-with-ngx/

Check any errors in LINDA's Console or FSUIPC logs. I don't have the CS757, so I cannot test the module myself.

I figured out the NGX, it was RTFM... just needed to rename the lua file as instructed. Still no joy with CaptainSim, though. :-(

I wrote the CS 757 definition and it worked until I installed the update for Linda 1.0.2 - I am looking into it and will let you guys know when it is resolved.
