July 26, 201114 yr Hi Alex: That line was used to force the Shader system to update the files in the Shader cache folder in the users AppData folder:-C:\Users\(your_username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX\Shaders (and Shaders10). By changing the number at the line's end, FSX will recognize this as a signal to carry out the update. This number must be changed after either a change in the Shaders files or a change in the WaterConstants.xml file (both in the FSX root folder) in order to initiate this. If this is not done, the next time the sim is launched all aircraft will appear "de-constructed - wings in the wrong place, tail on the fuselage bottom, and so on. very messy. Lots of people had this, and rebuilt the entire FSX because of it...His latest version 1.3 includes a Visual Basic installer which will locate the files and update them automagically, so this line is now not needed. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
