i am getting 100% CTD's around 5 mins after departure onwards. I have only been able to complete one flight in free flight (career not really tested but seems uneffected.). The crashes always start with the sound bugging out (external sound device) and then hang, then crash.

I am not having success running aig models as 95% of them are just not appearing, so i may need to go down the fstlt route and modify the textures

How did you get on? I am considering the same

With all due respect, If the mentality of some strong voices in avsim had their views we would all still be on a broken P3d platform. It really does seem to be the place for the metaphor of sitting on the lawn and shouting at progress. I've been simming for 20years +, I uninstalled p3d over 3 years ago (I miss my beloved 777-200er) and I've had such incredible enjoyment on 2020. 2024 is the going to be the same.. Perhaps a little wonky at first, like all major releases, but that shouldn't stop it releasing and as far as I can see it's ready for.release. The important thing that you're also forgetting OP is the build that was on alpha was quite an old build.

I am extremely impressed with the IXEG 737. Future is going to be very interesting indeed.. If Xplane take this oppurtunity to really develop the visuals, and user interface, it has all the hallmarkings to take over the P3d dominance and we can finally forget talking about licences

Hello! Yes it will make a difference, especially if you're using fsx (not p3d which manages memory better). Basically a 32bit operating system has a maximum of 4 gb to play with. If you run fsx as well it can only use some of the 4 gb to run the program, it also needs to run EVERYTHING else. You really need to be on a 64bit operating system.. Have you considered windows 10? That's the operating system I would recommend

Definetely I think it's something to do with the zoom. I just zoomed out to .30 and everything looked a lot faster. Really such a difference. I wonder if we can compromise somehow and have a .95 zoom in the sim whilst getting the speed at .4

I'm presuming that you read my post? I was on a 757 jumpseat. The go pro video does a good job at showing what is seen. There is a major disparity between flight sim and real life at speed perception

With that in mind, it means that p3d could potentially fix this?

I am happy with the progress of P3d but the one thing that really upsets me was highlighted when I was on the jumpseat on a 757 yesterday. Speed.. Now. When you're flying and looking out of the side window as a passenger, you don't often get a perseption of how fast you're going as there is nothing to reference until it's shooting past the window.. On the flightdeck, a different matter. When I am flying through clouds on the sim the whole moving picture is about 4 or 5 times slower than it would be in real life. Is there ANYTHING that can be done to change this? Or, why is this happening? Please see link below to help support

Btw guys, this has been completly fixed in p3d 3.2

They're also the only virtual airline (I need to make a post on this). Who use community generated hours files. So if someone used G-STBL for 12 hours, they save that in the shutdown state, and the next time I fly it it will continue from there, so it simulates the aircraft being constantly flown.

Not sure why people are getting so offended! You mentioned speculation in your title and body so no harm done! To be fair, I don't think you're too far off if I had to guess. I would probably omit the 737 ngx from the list and I think the 747-8 is being included from the beginning?? Relax guys, just some excitement. Lord before the ngx was released for about 6 months there were new speculation threads every day! The forum has cooled down since those days

Hi Michael, I can't answer #1, but I want to assure you that PMDG are pretty good at giving a wide selection of liveries. I am sure that every operator of the 748 will be available on release like the others (remember there isn't many 747-8 operators anyway )

I also got this. 7 hour flight and I was on climb out putting in leg page winds. Every gauge froze so I saved and restarted. On reload everything was black and the yoke was full left.

Hi Simbio, If there is a crosswind with no gusts. Then you would maintain your VREF+5. You only take the headwind component plus the full gust wind increment (the gust increment can be from any direction)
