Well, since they're not bragging about the night lighting of the 2D panels I would say it's safe to assume that it will be very basic. I just hope to see the new "volumetric" landing lights from the 2D cockpit, as I do not want to switch 3D stuff nor investing in $200 for head movement tracking equipment just yet.
The 2D panels use the exact same night lighting system the VC uses - no difference.Volumetric landing lights are not possible in 2D - this is hard limitation of FSX. They're done using 3D geometry in the VC model itself - there is no "model" for 2D view.
