Lost Textures

Featured Replies

HiHave recently started using FSX but have found there is a problem with texture/landclass for most of Germany, Switzerland and the easternmost part of France. Have run the repair installation for FSX and Acceleration but things have not improved. Has anyone any idea of how I can correct this please? I am attaching a screenshot taken at the transition point somewhere in eastern France. Many thanks,Bill

There is a flag in fsx.cfg which will force the program to stop and popup a message with missing textures.[sCENERY]ShowMissingTextureAlert=1One time I had the whole world only water (same as in x-plane) and the bug was that in scenery.cfg there were two missing entries, at the very begining after fs9 lines[Area.001]Title=Default TerrainActive=TRUELayer=1Required=TRUELocal=Scenery\WorldTexture_ID=1[Area.002]Title=Default SceneryActive=TRUELayer=2Required=TRUELocal=Scenery\BASEHope you findRV

Thank you RV!Do I have to insert that flag into the main FSX cfg or into the scenery cfg file (as I can't find the flag in either)?Bill

Tried inserting that flag into the scenery part of the main FSX cfg but it did not come up with any message and the problem persists. I guess some file is corrupt but does anyone have an idea of which one (seems to extend from eastern France and covers most of Germany and Switzerland)? Everywhere else seems ok! I am not quite clear where the problem lies and any help would be appreciated as this is a part of the world that I generally fly in quite a lot and it is a little bland, to say the least, without landclass and autogen! Thanks in advance,Bill
