December 21, 200322 yr I have always used freeware in FS2002 -- but invariably ,as good quality as some freeware is, it seldom includes any comprehensive aircraft operating flight data or manuals. So I decided to purchase my first piece of payware -- the Dreamfleet Cessna 310L.I am very happy with the aircraft -- the way it looks and flies - and thought that I was also very happy with the documentation. EXCEPT -- that I have now discovered that much of this documenation is irrelevant to the aircraft provided. Thirteen pages of flight data are provided for a normally aspirated version of the 310L -- but of course, the aircraft provided is actually a turbocharged version. So the data provided appears to me to be totally of no use at all -- may as well have provided the data for their B737!.Of course, this does not mean that the aircraft is not able to be flown -- it is just that I am sure that a real life pilot would have comprehensive tables of data for their a/c and "thought" that that was what was provided with this payware. So -- what to do. Is there any way of reverting this a/c back to a non-turbocharged model so that the flight instrumenets actually indicate what they should according to the flight tables provided.Any help would be much appreciated.Barry
December 21, 200322 yr I know DF has lots of followers and defends every product they make, but I too was dissapointed by the decision to make the 310 turbocharged, and only including docs for the normal version.I own the DF Archer and Cardinal, and I love both of those planes. They both include actual pages from the aircraft's POH.
December 21, 200322 yr Very simple. Open the aircraft.cfg file and change the following line(s);"turbocharged=1"to "turbocharged=0"That will disable the turbocharging. You now have a norminally aspirated engine. You can also change the following lines so they equal "=0" as well (though I think simply disabling turbocharging in the first line will suffice);max_design_mp=min_design_mp=critical_altitude=Always back-up the original values just in case.DavePS; I should think finding information on turbocharged C310's should be easy enough if you're interested in doing a bit of searching.
