Hi There, hoping someone out there can shed some light on my problem. System as in sig, MSI P67A-C45 mobo, i2500k, 4gb Mushkin Ram, GTX460 etc.Was using it the other night, when I got a crash saying "Parity Error". Switched the system completely off. Tried to power up today, was spinning up but not posting, then restarting itself like a bad overclock. I then cleared the CMOS. Still the same, tried removing either stick of RAM, still the same, no video signal, nothing.Driving me scatty, anyone any ideas?

Parrity error is usually associated with memory. Mushkin Silverline is its basic econo memory. Is it possible you fried both sticks?

Very much doubt it, was running it stock at 1.5v, but will certainly get hold of some to try in it instead. Thought parity was due to memory issues. Just hoping its not the mainboard or cpu that has died.

Well, turns out that it was my OCZ PSU. Had blown the motherboard too. Replaced the motherboard, and am back up and running. Got some new memory too, but have not got round to clocking it yet. The PSU and Motherboard were well within the warranty period to, so will be RMAing both.

Well, now back up and running, using an Asrock Z68 Pro3 motherboard, also upped my ram to 8gb og 1600mhz Corsair XMS3, changed the cooler as well. Clocked again stably @ 4.5ghz, can't get any higher, and couldn't on previous motherboard. Still, plenty fast enough Whistle.gif
