Moving from a 2Ghz up?

Featured Replies

In January of this year I upgraded my computer with the i7 930 with a Ghz of only 2.5, but I have found that 2.5 Ghz doesn't seem to be enough to handle the power of FSX. I just wanted to know will I have to get a new motherboard to upgrade to a higher Ghz or is it just the CPU which I need to upgrade?

All of these will work in your motherboard (probably). >>> http://www.newegg.co...CED&PageSize=20<<< 1366 Socket. The i7 960 was in my older computer, it's the highest clock (GHz) for the money, and quad core. Do you know what kind of mother board you have? It sure would help.Whistle.gif Apparently an overclock isn't an option for you?

What display settings do you wan't to use in FSX? If you don't provide the community with some information about your requirements it would be very difficult to recommend any hardware.
