August 19, 201114 yr Author I'm still waiting for the PIREP to start working on the new FDEs but I don't see any serious problems with the original FDEs. R U using the default FDEs?Stall speeds are correct with 70kts clean and 57kts with full flaps. You didn't specify the Vs1 configuration but in any case 40kts isn't anywhere close to the default FDEs stall speeds (or the real 210)At 70kts and full flaps I have a slightly nose high attitude about 1-2deg How is it possible to have the same attitude with a power on and off approach with the same speed and flap setting??If you have access to a real 210 and can perform the neccessary test flights I can send you the questionnaire.Any help is highly appreciated! If you could email me the Questionnaire, that would be grreat. I am planning a trip next weekend in the 210 and will do some tests that weekend if you would like. When I did my tests, Vs1 was full flaps. I was able to bring the airplane in that config at 40 KIAS. At 70 KIAS, I wish I had a 1-2 degree nose up attitude. I found another FDE that I tried that corrected the pitch and roll rates. This one is actually quite good when simulating the real heavy elevator and slippery roll of the 210. Today in the sim: I did approach tests......(Without the default FDE and with my tweak of the drag scalar for the flaps. power off stalls were conducted in full landing config. The airplane stalled as expected at 57 KIAS. (I have no idea where I got that 40 KIAS was Vs1.) With the default fde, I stalled at 38 KIAS in the same config. Approach to Landings.... full flaps with gear down and at a 600fpm descent at 70 KIAS I got the normal 210 characteristic 1-3 nose up degree attitude. same config but with a power-off approach I got a 1000-1000fpm descent and a 1-3 nose down attitude. No matter what type of approach I tried with the default FDE, It would result in a 10 degree nose pitch down attitude. the original drag scalar in the aircraft config was set to 3.2.... I changed mine to 1.5.... with my changes and the updated FDE I downloaded, the carenado 210 performs more like its real world counterpart than it did before.
